Fusion Workflow Foundation is our base (foundation) workflow solution. It provides a multi-user Web-browser production interface with high-resolution post-RIP soft proofing. It integrates seemlessly with existing imposition and page-pairing systems. Scaleable, it can, if or when needed, by upgraded later to Workflow ESP Standard or Advanced solutions.
Fusion Workflow ESP provides total control over prepress production. Workflow ESP comes in two flavors: Standard and Advanced. Workflow ESP Advanced contains everything in Workflow ESP Standard, with the addition of fully-automated (versus semi-automated) imposition, and also a post-RIP raster PDF e-tearsheet proofing solution with output approval and rejection control.
This open, modular solution has all the tools necessary to simplify the broadest range of prepress tasks.... Automated Pre-flighting and File Correction -- Workflows automatically check files for correct color separation conversions (RGB to CMYK), process black text to 100% black, spot colors to CMYK, and correctly set job parameters such as dot shape, calibration curves and screen ruling. Missing fonts can be emulated from a 1600-font database.
Automated Post-RIP Page Pairing and Imposition -- Proofed and approved digital film pages are automatically paired or imposed into signatures. Completed flats are automatically queued for output.... Dynamic Job Routing -- Crucial to reliable automation, this innovative feature ensures that ripped pages are named and numbered correctly, and intelligently routed exactly as required for specific workflow processes -- every time.
Fusion Workflow ESP is a very rich solution. It is open, flexible, highly configurable, and yet easy to use.
The Fusion RIP for Mac OS X and Linux delivers outstanding performance, reliability, flexibility and excellent color reproduction quality, through a comprehensive Graphical User Interface (GUI). Based on Global Graphics' Harlequin RIP, it offers an expansive feature set that includes enhanced font support and the ability to handle a wide range of file formats.
The Fusion RIP is fully compatible with the PostScript Language Level 3 specification, the JDF 1.2 specification, and comes complete with input and output mechanisms, as well as a wide range of add-on options to address specific customer requirements.

DigiPage ROOM Workflow Plugin |
|
DigiPage is based on industry standard file formats and leverages the high performance of Global Graphics' Eclipse RIP technology. It can best be thought of as a digital film, or digital plate file format. That is because when Postscript, PDF or other standard page format files are processed through DigiPage, they are separated, trapped (if desired) and halftone screened at full Platesetter resolution, and saved as Dot-Locked DigiPage files to disk.
No other page file format can claim this level of true digital integrity as it pertains to the proof matching the plate.

The Publication Proofing System (PPS) is a Web-based application that provides PDF proofing of a publication as it is produced, in a production workflow. It is ideal for newspapers, magazines, tabloids, and any other publication that has regular sections. It can be configured to reside within a network, or it can be exposed to the public, or to an Extranet.
PPS is updated in realtime as a "side-effect" of the actual production. PDFs are based on the 1-bit TIFF RIPped data that is ultimatedly sent for imaging to film or plate. The application allows for easily emailing proofs to customers and CSRs, as well as deleting proofs. It can be configured for 3 levels of users (admin, trusted, and untrusted). Automatic archival and deletion are also available through the configuration panel. PPS is a reference implementation of our Workflow ESP features -- in particular post-process scripting, template-based naming -- in the DigiPage and FTIFF plugins.
Currently available for Mac OS X, a Windows-based version is scheduled for release by Q1 2008.
For more information about this solution, please see our Publication Proof System product literature piece.

Print Production Manager (PPM) allows users to control and monitor job progress through each step of the production environment. Up to five (local or remote) clients have access and can exercise complete control over the production workflow. All from their workstations using standard browser applications.
Accessing up-to-the-minute information on page processing, plate output, queue loads, and other processes is easily accomplished... Jobs can be soft-proofing, approved or held, re-prioritized, resubmitted or removed.

FTIFF (the "F" is for fast) is an output plugin for use with the Fusion RIP (or other Harlequin-based RIPs). The FTIFF plugin can reduce by half or more the time it takes to generate 1-bit and 8-bit TIFF files.

ColorRay RIP |
|
ColorRay -- your key to productivity -- is a high-speed, totally integrated raster image processor (RIP) for large format printers, plotters and printers.
A single ColorRay can drive multiple wide-format printers simultaneously, eliminating the need to maintain a separate RIP for each device. Now you can simplify color management and systems administration requirements while significantly improving productivity and quality.

TrapPro is Fusion Systems' trapping solution based on Global Graphics' next generation in-RIP trapping engine. It uses the Device-Oriented Display List that is generated in the Fusion RIP, which allows the trapping engine to trap everything the RIP renders, with pixel accuracy and with great speed.
The TrapPro object-based raster engine delivers outstanding performance and excellent memory utilization. It adds the features demanded by top printers and publishers, being designed to professionally trap jobs automatically. Trap rules can easily be set up to accommodate different types of jobs or customers. Trap settings can be saved, improving both quality and productivity.

Today document orignators want desktop color proofing solutions that will give them great looking color proofs "out of the box". And print production professionals want cost-effective proofing solutions that will ensure that they can match the proof on press.
To address unique requirements for achieving excellent color reproduction on all of Epson's Variable Size Dot (VSD) Stylus Pro printers and plotters, Fusion Systems now offers the ProofReady (VSD) Plugin from Global Graphics for its entire line of Harlequin Eclipse-based RIPs.

ColorPro is Fusion Systems' advanced color management processor plugin. Building on color management features in Harlequin ICC Profile Processor (HIPP) & Harlequin Full Color System (HFCS), ColorPro provides superior color process control, giving accurate, consistent and predictable color reproduction for a wide range of workflows.
ColorPro provides full support for industry standard ICC profiles (including device link profiles) avoiding dependence on the generic, system level color management of the computer's operating system.

The CIP3 Output Plugin enables the Fusion RIP to produce Print Production Format (PPF) files containing information about print jobs, including administrative data, information about inks, and preview images. The PPF file is then read by a CIP3 reader (included with press control systems), which provides instructions for automatically setting ink fountains on press.
CIP3 file generation through the Fusion RIP is just as easy and automatic as generating the plates and films themselves. Integrating these CIP3 files into your press can bring you to color far faster, reducing make-ready time and waste.

HDS (Harlequin Dispersed Screening) is Global Graphic's Patent-Pending stochastic, or 'FM' (Frequency Modulated), screening technology. HDS creates reproductions with increased image detail over conventional screening methods and offers complete freedom from both cross screen and object moirés.
HDS is ideal for reproducing subjects for which object moiré is a problem (such as scenes with fabric, venetian blinds, or picket fences) and for printing with more than four process colors. It also offers increased image detail and fewer press registration problems over conventional screens.
