Fusion Print Production Manger

A Browser-based Graphic User Interface

Print Production Manager (PPM) allows users to control and monitor job progress through each step of the production environment.  Multiple clients can exercise complete control over the production workflow running on the Fusion Harlequin RIP, all from their workstations using standard Web browsers.

It allows multiple clients to connect to a web-based graphical user interface (web GUI) for the purpose of monitoring and managing job processing through each stage of the print production workflow. Control multiple output devices from one software interface.

Print Production Manager allows users to control and monitor job progress through a number of steps and processes that are too often complex until now. In a typical shop, the processes could include: preflight, imposition, trapping, color management, RIP and proofing; RIP and make plates; and/or RIP and output to a digital press.

PPM is a job management tool that allows multiple users to control jobs and output from their design computer thus eliminating the need to go to the RIP to preview or release output to your imaging devices. Simply put, PPM keeps you informed; allows you to make decisions that keeps work moving.

PPM installs on the RIP computer and interfaces with your Fusion Harlequin RIP. Once the workflow is installed on the computer, multiple users are able to access the RIP's job information using a web browser. From the web browser multiple users are then able to dictate the order in which jobs get processed as well as preview jobs with scalable zoom. Users can also resubmit jobs to go to a proofer or other output device without ever having to reprint the job from the design application.

Users can send jobs once from their design computer and then using PPM's web browser interface re-direrect the same PDF or postscript file to other output devices such as a platesetter or digital proofer. This means one user can be updating job information while another user is previewing a job before final output.

RIP production control is all done through the internet browser from any machine on the local area network. And PPM allows up to 5 users to use Production Manager simultaneously.

Scalable Zoom. PPM gives users the ability to zoom in and out of each plate or preview jobs in full composite color.
